The Squadron Flyer, May 2007
Here's the latest flyer from The Squadron Shop, with a featured subject on the cover that should get everyone's attention. A Brewster Buffalo from Czech Model. But the best part is that it's 1/32nd scale! Priced at $53.96, you get optional parts for either of two versions, an injected canopy as well as photo-etch and resin components.
As we've come to expect, the monthly flyer gives us 64 pages of goodies to lust over. Inside the back cover, you learn that they're taking advance orders for a 1/35th scale DORA 80cm Super Heavy Railway Gun. At 53" in length and containing 2500 parts, I would expect one or more of these monsters to show up at a future IPMS/USA National contest. Assuming you can afford it, of course. The advance order price is $719.10.
Speaking of contests, the back page is promoting the IPMS Scalefest that takes place on May 26, 2007 at the Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. In conjunction with the IPMS Scalefest, The Squadron Shop holds a two-day open house at their location in Carrollton, Texas.
